Historic Christian faith. Wesleyan-Holiness conviction. A life transformed by grace.

What We Believe

Celebration Place Church of the Nazarene belongs to the global Church of the Nazarene and follows the historic Christian faith expressed through the Wesleyan-Holiness tradition. We are committed to sharing the message of full salvation and a life lived in the power of the Holy Spirit.

The Articles of Faith

01

THE TRIUNE GOD

We believe in one eternal, holy God—sovereign Creator and Sustainer—revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

02

JESUS CHRIST

Jesus is fully God and fully human; born of the Virgin Mary, crucified for our sins, bodily raised, ascended, and interceding for us.

03

THE HOLY SPIRIT

The Spirit is present and active, convicting of sin, regenerating believers, sanctifying the Church, and guiding us into truth.

04

THE HOLY SCRIPTURES

The Old and New Testaments are divinely inspired and faithfully reveal everything necessary for salvation.

05

SIN, ORIGINAL AND PERSONAL

Humanity inherits a corrupted nature inclined away from God; personal sin is a deliberate violation of God’s known law.

06

ATONEMENT

Through Christ’s death and resurrection, atonement is made for all and received through repentance and faith.

07

PREVENIENT GRACE

God’s grace goes before us, awakening and enabling every person to respond freely to salvation.

08

REPENTANCE

Repentance is a sincere change of mind and direction, turning from sin toward God and trusting His mercy.

09

JUSTIFICATION, REGENERATION, AND ADOPTION

Those who repent and believe are forgiven, made new by the Holy Spirit, and received into God’s family.

10

CHRISTIAN HOLINESS AND ENTIRE SANCTIFICATION

God calls believers to wholehearted love. The Holy Spirit cleanses and empowers us to live in growing Christlike holiness.

11

THE CHURCH

The Church is the community of believers who confess Jesus as Lord, worship God, proclaim the gospel, and serve the world.

12

BAPTISM

Christian baptism is a sacrament signifying faith in Christ, cleansing from sin, and entrance into the covenant community.

13

THE LORD’S SUPPER

Communion remembers Christ’s sacrificial death and celebrates His living presence among believers who receive it in faith.

14

DIVINE HEALING

We believe God heals and encourage prayer for the sick while also affirming the proper use of medical care.

15

SECOND COMING OF CHRIST

Jesus Christ will come again, and those who are alive in Him will be gathered to be with the Lord forever.

16

RESURRECTION, JUDGMENT, AND DESTINY

All people will be raised and judged by God. Those who trust Christ receive eternal life; those who reject Him face final separation from God.
